Trails (including Segebrecht Rd parking/access, Lions Park pedestrian bridge access) in the southern end of the park will be CLOSED beginning Monday, June 24 through Monday, November 11, 2024 due restoration of Black Earth Creek and surrounding lands. Walking Iron County Park and Wildlife Area are located just west of the Village of Mazomanie in the Town of Mazomanie. Walking Iron is reached by driving from US Highway 14, north on County Highway Y, then west on Hudson Road. The 495-acre park offers miles of hiking and equestrian trails which wind through scenic restored prairies and wooded areas. During the winter, the park provides access to Dane County snowmobile trails.
