Friends of Dane County Parks Grant Program

The Friends Grant Program was created in the 2020 County Budget and provides matching funds to Friends groups and other nonprofit organizations to implement capital improvements on Dane County parkland.  Grants can range from $3,000 - $18,750.  All grants must be matched with cash. The application deadline is October, 31, 2020. Learn more and access applicaiton materials on the grant webpage.

 

Conservation Fund Grant Program

The Conservation Fund Grant Program offers grants to nonprofit organizations and local governmental units for the purchase of land or land interests identified in the Dane County Parks & Open Space Plan Dane County Parks & Open Space Plan or for lands in buffer areas immediately adjacent to park lands. Recognizing the power of partnerships in leveraging County dollars and accelerating the purchase of properties, this program earmarks up to 20% of the Dane County Conservation Fund for these grants. Applications are accepted throughout the year.
