Hello Dane County Parks Prescribed Burn Volunteers and Friends & Partner Groups,

They will be discussing operational procedures, fire prescription, weather and possible live fire simulation (weather & conditions permitting) The training will cover topics from basic RX fire equipment usage with drip torches, hand tools and backpack pumps. More advanced RX fire techniques such as dot lighting, flank fires and pump usage will be demonstrated.
If you plan on helping with Dane County Parks RX fires we hope you will make plans to attend. Dane County is striving to expand our burn program as fire is a critical tool in managing our natural areas.
