Seed Cleaning Workday

It's that time again! We had another successful year of seed collection and now it's time to clean our harvest. Volunteers are needed to separate seed from chaff using the hammer mill. Operate machine that grinds up seed and chaff. This is typically the first step in the process, releasing the seeds from the capsule or breaking up the seed head. This task requires standing on a small step ladder and using caution to push plant material down into the rotating hammers.

PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED as space is very limited. No prior experience is needed. All training, tools, and materials will be provided.
