Event Description
Enjoy the outdoors, learn about the natural world, and forge new friendships by joining the Friends of Donald Park on a restoration workday. This spring and summer, we'll be removing invasive weeds like garlic mustard and Japanese hedge parsley from priority areas. There is lots to do and we can use your help! We work in teams and no experience is necessary. What to wear: Long pants, long-sleeved shirt, sturdy shoes, and garden gloves if you have them. (We have some to lend out.) What to bring: Please bring water. We will provide tools and cookies.
Meeting location: TBD depending on which area of the park we'll be working in. If you can join us, please RSVP to the work party leader, Liz McBride, at elizabeth-mcbride@sbcglobal.net by the Friday before the workday so she can let you know the meeting location and can reach you if weather forces us to cancel. Arrive at 9:45 am to check in.
