Special Restoration Workday at Stewart Lake
Event Dates
- Saturday, 05/16/2026 1:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.
Event Description
Join the Friends of Stewart Lake for a special restoration workday in the 'Blue View Prairie' portion of the park (behind the 400 block of Blue View Drive in Mt Horeb). This small 3-4 acre prairie is in the Nordic Hills area and has a beautiful view Blue Mounds to the west. It has been undergoing restoration for the past 7 years and progressing well. The time will be spent cutting/treating invasive woody vegetation, cutting up fallen limbs and pulling the invasive plants, Dames Rocket and garlic mustard.
Please come a few hours helping to restore this beautiful area of the park. Your restoration work will be greatly appreciated.
