Volunteer Software Training - MyImpact How-To (IN PERSON)

You may have been hearing a lot about MyImpact, the volunteer portal that the Dane County Parks Volunteer program rolled out last year. MyImpact is hosted by the volunteer management software Better Impact, and we're transitioning towards using this to track all volunteer data including hours, contact info, allergies and medical conditions, schedules/sign ups, certifications, interests, and more!

We have a thriving volunteer program that continues to grow, which is amazing! As we grow, we need to be able to streamline our systems. We need all volunteers to have active accounts in MyImpact and to know how to use those for the bare minimum functions. Many of you will wish to learn about the more advanced functions. Whether you haven't made an account yet, you have questions of how to use it, or you want to know how you could be using more features, this training is for you!

Who: Any active volunteer with Dane County Parks

What to bring: This is a participatory training! If you have a portable device like a laptop or a tablet, bring that. If you don't a smart phone will suffice, or you can attend the next virtual training.

What to know: This training is designed to be a full overview of all the most basic and necessary functions of DCP’s new volunteer portal (MyImpact) for the average volunteer. We will demonstrate how to navigate through the portal including how to view and sign up for shifts, how to log independent hours, and how to update your personal information. We will likely not get into more advanced functions of MyImpact, though there will be time for additional questions at the end. We will invite all participants to follow along on their own device.
