ABOUT THE TEAM:
We are forming the Capital Springs Bumble Bee Brigade this year to learn more about the bumble bees that use Capital Springs habitats. Volunteers will identify, photo, and submit data about bumble bees. After the training session in July, we’ll develop a flexible team schedule for monitoring these important pollinators. The training session with UW Arboretum’s Susan Carpenter will help us learn about bumble bee biology, life cycle, habitat, how to find, identify, and take photos of these important native pollinators. We will also learn how to submit data to the DNR’s Wisconsin Aquatic and Terrestrial Resources Inventory website. All are welcome.
